These terms cover puzzlefuel.com, the puzzle frames we provide to libraries and other sites, and the Puzzle Fuel app inside ChatGPT. Using any of them means you accept them.
The short version
Play the puzzles, enjoy them, do not scrape the site or pass our puzzles off as your own. That is substantially all of it.
Using the site
Puzzle Fuel is free to play and free to use. You may not:
- Scrape, bulk-download or systematically harvest the puzzles, clues, lessons or archives.
- Republish our puzzles as your own, or strip the attribution from an embedded frame.
- Interfere with the site's operation, attempt to reach other people's accounts, or probe the infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to inflate streaks or leaderboards.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Since accounts cost nothing and hold nothing purchasable, that is the extent of the consequence.
Fuel cells
Fuel is a score. It is not currency, it has no cash value, it cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and we may adjust how it is earned or spent at any time. If your account is deleted, your fuel goes with it.
Embedding our puzzles
Libraries, schools and other organisations may embed our puzzle frames on their own websites at no cost, on two conditions: keep the attribution line intact, and do not modify the frame or its contents. We may change or retire the frames, but we will not break a working embed without warning.
The puzzles remain ours. Embedding grants you the right to display them, not to redistribute them.
The ChatGPT app
The Puzzle Fuel app inside ChatGPT is provided as-is and free of charge. It serves the same puzzles as the site. We do not control ChatGPT, and your use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI's terms, not ours.
Ownership
The puzzles, clues, lesson content, software, design and the Puzzle Fuel name are ours. The individual puzzle you are solving is yours to solve, print for personal use, and share with a friend — that is what it is for.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. We try hard to make every puzzle valid and uniquely solvable, and we run automated correctness checks before anything is published, but we do not guarantee the site will be available, error-free, or that a given puzzle is flawless. If you find a broken puzzle, tell us and we will fix it.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from using the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revision.
